Light determines how customers see your store and your products. We combine general light, accents and the right colour rendering into a lighting plan that suits your retail concept and saves energy.

Accent light with high colour rendering (CRI 90 or higher) shows colours and materials as they really are.
Contrast between general light and accents guides customers through the store.
Efficient spots and control per zone or schedule reduce energy costs.

A good store has layers of light: a base for orientation, accents on products and atmosphere in the corners. Colour rendering matters too. Fresh produce must look fresh, textiles must show their true colour.
We create a lighting plan per zone: entrance, aisles, displays, fitting rooms and checkout. With track you can easily move spots later when the layout changes.

Warm accents on collections and flattering light in the fitting rooms.

| Zone | General (lux) | Accent | Colour rendering |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales floor | 300 (Em, EN 12464-1) | 3 to 5 times the general level | Ra 80, preferably 90+ |
| Checkout | 500 | Ra 80 | |
| Shop window and entrance | Depends on the concept | Strong contrast | Ra 90+ |
| Fitting rooms | 300 to 500 vertical | Soft and warm | Ra 90+ |
| Rear warehouse | 100 to 200 | Ra 60 |
Accent factors are design guidelines, not a requirement of the standard. We tailor them to your retail concept.
A higher light level and focused spotlights catch the eye of passers-by. With a timer, the window display is only lit when it makes sense.
A clear transition from outside to inside. Visitors step in more readily when the shop looks open and bright.
Even base lighting for orientation, just slightly lower than at the displays. That way the accents draw the attention.
Vertical light on walls and shelves makes the range visible, even at the back of the shop.
Soft, even light from the front with high colour rendering. No harsh shadows and true colours for the clothing.
Enough light for paying, without glare on screens and card terminals.
Colour rendering. For fashion, interiors and fresh produce we work with CRI 90 or higher. We also look at the R9 value, which determines how reds and pinks come across. You see it straight away in meat, fruit, textiles and skin tones.
Beam and shielding. Narrow beams make products stand out, wide beams fill walls. With honeycomb louvres and deeply recessed light sources, we prevent customers from looking into the spotlights.
Product protection. LED emits virtually no UV and little heat in the light beam. That is good for textiles, paper and food. For fresh food departments there are spectra that show meat, bread or vegetables at their best.
Staying flexible. With 3-phase track or 48V track, you can move spotlights yourself when the layout changes. We design the tracks so that a new arrangement can also be lit well.
Control. Scenes for opening hours, late opening and cleaning, plus a timer for window displays and signage. So no more light is on outside opening hours than necessary.
