Cleanroom and laboratory lighting
Design

Light for analysis and research.

Laboratory work calls for high, even illuminance on the bench, without shadows or reflections. High colour rendering matters whenever colours have to be assessed.

For rooms with strict hygiene or particle requirements we choose sealed luminaires. For true cleanrooms we follow a separate approach in line with ISO 14644.

Frequently asked questions

Question not listed? Call or email us, we reply within one working day.

Ask your question
How much light does a laboratory need?
For general laboratory work 500 lux is common. For colour assessment it can be higher. We calculate it per workstation.
Why does colour rendering matter?
With colour reactions and sample assessment you need to see colours reliably. A high Ra value makes sure of that.
How does this differ from cleanroom lighting?
Cleanrooms have extra requirements for particles and airtightness under ISO 14644. We have dedicated solutions for that.
Can you work in an operational lab?
Yes. We plan the work in consultation with you, room by room.
